Virginia Beach Fishing Pier
Virginia Beach Fishing Pier is a attraction in Oceanfront, Virginia Beach, best for anglers, sunrise views, watching Boardwalk surfers from above.
Pier fishing right in the middle of the resort area: this 15th Street pier extends straight out into the Atlantic from the Boardwalk, and no fishing license is required to drop a line off the end of it. Even for non-anglers, the $4 walk-on admission buys an uncrowded, elevated vantage point over the sand and surf that's different from anything else on the strip — good for sunrise, good for watching surfers work the break below. Hours vary seasonally (roughly April through October); check the pier's Facebook page for the current schedule and fishing fees before heading out.
